By car:
Travelling south on the A23 from Gatwick take the exit towards the A273 towards Hassocks. At the T junction turn right and follow the road until you reach the Plough Pub on your left. Turn immediately left around this corner and drive up Church Lane till you come to a cross roads by the Church. Turn left onto Church Hill and you will see The Forge directly ahead.
Drive past the house to the long black gate opposite the church entrance. Pull open the gate (it is not electric) and park directly in front of the garage doors. Our blue camper van may be in the drive on the right hand side but unless you have a large vehicle (short wheel base is fine) you will be able to swing round it to park to the left of it, ensuring there is still space for us to reverse out! There is parking for just one vehicle so if you have two vehicles there is free parking just as you come onto Church Hill (you can also park there if you wish).
If travelling from Brighton on the A23 take the slip road towards Hassocks A273 going under the flyover. Take the first exit on the left towards the BP Garage/M&S. You will see the Plough pub and Pyecombe sign ahead of you. Turn right just infront of the pub and go up Church Lane to the crossroads at the top. Follow above instructions from there.
Walking/Cycling:
We are directly on the South Downs Way so you can’t miss us! If walking west to east we are the first house in Pyecombe you see when walking up Church Hill. If walking east to west go up School Lane then at the crossroads keep straight and we are opposite the church. Please slide open the long black gate opposite the church gate and The Stables are on your left.
Train and Bus/Uber:
The nearest station is Hassocks which is on the London to Brighton train line.
From Hassocks Stonepound you can get the 270, 271, 272 or 273 Metrobus (please see their website for times https://www.metrobus.co.uk ) to Pyecombe. It will stop opposite the M&S garage so you can walk up Church Lane by The Plough pub from there 5-10 minutes. If you are travelling from Brighton by bus it will stop on the A273 just pass the garage so walk back on yourself towards The Plough.
Please note it is not possible to walk to/from Hassocks station due to no footpaths.
Alternatively you can get an Uber taxi from Hassocks or Brighton station.
Guest Access:
Access is via the driveway through the long black gate, opposite the Church gate. Just pull it open (it is not electric) but please close after you as our dog likes to wander! There may be a bungee around it which is just so our dog doesn't escape.
The Stables are opposite the house next to the garage with a black door. The key safe for self check-in is next to this door. We will send you the code before you arrive but normally we are in.

The garage door on the right is your own storage for bikes, wet clothes, luggage and muddy boots!
