The Stables at The Forge

Bedroom:​

The separate bedroom has a luxurious super king bed which can also be made into two singles - please let us know at the time of booking if you have a preference. We provide 100% organic cotton sheets, crisp white cotton bedding and hypoallergenic pillows and duvets. All bedding is OEKO-TEX certified for no harmful chemicals. There’s a hairdryer, full length mirror, two reclaimed wooden chests of drawers, two side lamps, alarm clock, chair, electric heater, clothes’ hooks and white wooden shutters for a good night’s sleep.

Lounge / Diner:

The lounge area has a velvet covered sofa which converts into a comfortable double bed with memory foam mattress. There’s a Smart TV with Netflix and NowTV entertainment packages, Bluetooth stereo speakers, a nest of oak tables, shoe rack, floor lamp, electric heater and coat hooks for your convenience. There are also local guide books, maps, family games and children's books in the drawer of the TV unit to enjoy! 

The dining area seats four on stylish loom chairs with four placemats and a fruit selection bowl.

Wood burner:

To keep cosy we have a brand new eco-certified wood burner, complete with kindling, eco-logs and fire accessories. Due to the proximity of the sofa bed the fire must not be used when the sofa bed is down. If you are a party of four then please ensure you put the sofa bed up.  Please note this is available from October to March. Please follow all guidelines and only use the wood and kindling provided and do not burn anything else - we provide enough for a good fire per night...if more is required the 24hr garage (5 mins walk away) has stock.

Kitchen:

The retro theme kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook your own meals. It features a freestanding cooker (with oven, grill and hob), fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink, electric heater, a recycling and compost bin and all cooking essentials and accessories. For coffee lovers we have a Lavazza ‘nespresso-style’ coffee machine with Eco caps, cafetiere and Fair Trade organic instant – and decaf – coffee. We also provide a selection of Fair Trade and organic herbal teas and sugar.

Bathroom:

The beach themed bathroom has a shower, sink, WC, heated towel rail and storage drawers. We provide 100% organic cotton, white fluffy hand and bath towels and Faith In Nature natural hand wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner for you to enjoy.

Arrival & Departure Times:

Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 11am.

Parking:

There is off street, secure, gated parking for one vehicle and free parking outside on Church Hill and Church Lane.

Please park outside the garage doors in front of The Stables door.

Storeroom:

There is a secure storeroom – guests are provided with a key – in the garage for bikes and wet, muddy boots!

Smoking:

The Stables are smoke and vape free inside and also on the driveway. If you would like to smoke or vape please do so on the lane outside though the black gates. Thank you!

​

Extras:

We can provide an ironing board and iron in the storeroom. Please ask us in advance.

We may be able to offer babysitting if you ask us in advance.

Pets:

​Unfortunately we do not allow any pets on the premises.

​

Breakages:

Any damage to The Stables or its contents must be paid for on departure. Please let us know at the time of any spillages as these are easier to remove straight away!

Cancellation Policy:

As we are a small business, cancellations have a large impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests. 

However we do appreciate unforeseen circumstances and will try and be as sympathetic and helpful as possible. 

A full refund will be given if you need to cancel within 14 days. Otherwise the full price of the booking will be upheld.
